Another counterfeiter is taken down by the LAPD’s Anti-Piracy Unit. The subject was no stranger to the LAPD and being arrested for trademark counterfeiting. He had been arrested twice before for counterfeiting and was once operating a factory making fake handbags and other items.

Warehouse Take Down!

Law  enforcement  officials  from  the  LA  County  Sheriff’s  Department  and  HSI were  extremely  surprised,  when  they  served  search  warrants  on  a  warehouse  location in  the  City  of  Los  Angeles  and  came  across  massive  amounts  of  counterfeit  goods.  Two  subjects  were  arrested  as  part  of  the  case  and  prosecuted  federally.  Both  have  since  been  convicted  of  trademark  counterfeiting.

The  subjects  were  operating  a  multi-state  distribution  network  and  were  obtaining  their  counterfeit  items  directly  from  China.  The  efforts  of  law  enforcement  in  this  matter  were  outstanding  and  lead  to  a  huge  recovery  of  counterfeits.

Rooms Full of Counterfeits!!

Recent search warrants served by the LAPD and FBI lead to the recovery of over a million dollars in counterfeits. The investigation took place in the Santee Alley area of Los Angeles,  and law enforcement recovered all types of counterfeit goods. One subject was arrested as part of the investigation.

The subjects had been using multiple storage rooms to store and distribute their counterfeit items. Investigators were able to make multiple purchases from the locations and identify their entire network of distribution. It appears the subjects were obtaining their counterfeit items from multiple suppliers in New York. Another great job done by The LAPD and FBI!
